What the CELPIP questions cover
Reading and Listening are multiple choice and scored by computer. Reading has four parts (Correspondence, Diagram, Information and Viewpoints) and Listening has six, from Problem Solving through to Viewpoints. There is no penalty for a wrong answer, so on these sections a blank is always worse than a guess.
Writing and Speaking are open responses. Writing is an email and a survey response; Speaking is eight short spoken tasks, from giving advice to describing a picture. These are judged by people on things like content, vocabulary and how clearly you organize your ideas, so they reward structure and practice more than memorized answers.
Every set on this page is timed to mirror the real pace, and the questions are grouped by the exact part or task they belong to, so you can drill one question type at a time rather than jumping around. Start with the free set in any part, then keep going from there.
