Dear Grandpa,

Thank you so much! I was surprised and delighted to open your parcel and find your thoughtful present inside. A proper fishing rod and tackle set is exactly what I needed. I have used it already; my friend Marc and I spent a week canoe-camping in the Whiteshell region of Manitoba. We just got back. I had planned to use our old family gear, but the reel is not only stiff, it is also badly rusted, so your gift was perfect.
