Hi Mom and Dad,

A quick note to say that the long drive into the interior went fine and that I have settled in at Clearwater. A coordinator from the Backcountry Restoration Society was waiting when the bus finally pulled in, and she drove me out to the settlement of Ambleton, where the trail-and-shelter rebuild I signed up for is taking place.
